  • James Riggall

    James Riggall

    An entrepreneur who found his start as a teacher at the Human Interface Technology Laboratory (HITLab) in Launceston. Since then, James has gone on to start his own company, Bitlink, which specialises in using technology to tell stories and create experiences. In 2017 he was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship which led to a term as a visiting scholar at Bellevue College in Washington State, USA. Here he developed and ran a highly successful virtual reality course (studying virtual/augmented reality and related immersive technologies from a humanities perspective) which he continues to teach. In addition to working with Soma Lumia and Bitlink, James also teaches entrepreneurship at the University of Tasmania.

    A technologist who has been working in this space for more than two decades. With deep experience in audio visual integration, Troy has overseen the delivery of large-scale automation projects. Troy also completed a master’s degree in creative media technology. His research involved the intersection of augmented reality and remote telehealth. Troy’s projects mix technology with real world interactivity, as well as exploring a storytelling component to create immersive experiences.

    A programmer, game developer, and artist who spends her time bending Unity 3D into her desired shape and using it for projects ranging from games to mobile apps, to large-scale interactive art installations. When she's not working with Soma Lumia, Rhi works as a freelance game developer, either by pitching in to help local studios bash their code into shape, or working on her own weird and wonderful side projects.

    Jim Moginie

    A musician, producer and artist whose 45-year contribution to Midnight Oil cannot be overstated. He is a songwriter, musician and vocalist who pioneered new ground and challenged social justice and environmental concepts in his work. Jim is a record producer (Sarah Blasko), collaborator (Carolina Eyck, Kev Carmody), film composer and solo artist. He has toured the world with Midnight Oil and as a guitarist with the Grammy-nominated Australian Chamber Orchestra.
